Unfortunately I only heard the sad news about 2 hours ago and then realised that I was in hospital in Galway at that time. Bobby's, was a funeral I would not have missed.

Bobby was one of those rare people, who can justifiably be described as a national treasure.
His beautiful music, songs, wit and personality would 'cure all ills'. I feel so sad that we hadn't met for quite some time, ach sin mar atá sé.

Go ndéanfaidh Dia trócaire ar d'anam uasal, a Bhobby. Ní imithe uainn atá tú, ach imithe romhainn.

So sorry to hear of Bobbys passing, I have lovely memories of visits as children to Coreen with dad & David to play with Martina, Cathal & Colleen, we always loved calling and Bobby was always so easygoing and kind.
