Mary, Ciarán and Cliodhna, please allow me to offer you my most sincere and heartfelt condolences for the loss of your husband and father. I was saddened by the news and, looking back on the almost sixty years since I first met Michael, I will always remember him as the kindest and most gentle person I have had the privilege to call my friend.
Mary and family, sincere condolences on your loss.
Cricket in Leinster owes a huge debt of gratitude to the voluntary work Michael carried out tirelessly for the benefit of "junior" cricket over many long years. He laid the foundations for what the Open Competitions Committee (OCC) can now build upon. Anyone who plays cricket in Leinster is in debt to his work. My sincere sympathies go to Mary Ciaran & Cliodhna at this most difficult time.

We want to express our sympathy on the death of Michael. We remember his wry comments on operations, as Belfield was being built and also, the many games of cards at lunchtime
