Noreen Trota Walsh
(née Finucane)

My sympathy to Noreen’s husband Bill, to her children, grandchildren & great grandchild, to the Finucane & Walsh families and also to her wonderful companions Annabelle & Ferrie who ensured she lived life to the full, especially in her later years.

I was privileged to know Noreen in the Philippines. She brought so much to her role as Irelands Honorary Consul General and served Ireland with grace and professionalism.
Noreen bridged two cultures, she connected the Irish community in the Philippines, she offered a home away from home and her hospitality and that of her family was extraordinary.

She was a kind and generous woman, there are children alive and well in the Philippines today because of Noreen’s intervention, there are young people making careers for themselves because of her support for their education. Noreen’s assistance was discreet & life changing.

I will miss Noreen but am grateful our paths in life crossed and will remember her with love and gratitude.

Noreen called to say "hallo" to Robert whenever she was on holiday in Ireland, as she Noreen was a great friend to Fr. Gerard Pierse, Rest in Peace, in Manila, Fr Gerard being a brother to Robert.
