I never met Nuala, but when I was diagnosed with cancer her loving husband Kevin kept my spirits up by sending me regular reports of Nuala's stoic courage in her own long battle with cancer. She was what in Irish is called a 'bean stuama'' a stand- up woman. My heartfelt sympathy to Kevin who never left her side..Ar dheis De go raibh a h-anam croga.

Kevin, so sorry to hear of Nuala's passing -- sympathies from Clíona and I to you and the wider family. My earliest memories of Nuala go back nearly 40 years ago when I started working on Gardiner Place and you guys were based up the street in the LGPSU. Would love to be able to join you for the funeral but unfortunately, we're away for a few days at a wedding. Will catch up with you soon to properly remember Nuala. Mind yourself.
