Uncle Pat was always a wealth of knowledge, with fantastic stories of his times in Africa. He also took a great interest in others & was very encouraging. But most of all, he was a special, brilliant & much loved brother to our Mam. She always spoke very highly of him. X
Margaret and family, I was very saddened to hear of Pat’s passing.
I enjoyed his company and friendship for many years in the Oaks golf group. He was a very active and popular member of our group and we enjoyed many golf trips with both of you in Ireland and further afield. I smile when I recall the Oaks introduction of 9 hole competitions in addition to the 18 hole ones. Pat had no interest in the shorter games - unlike quite a few of us who were considerably younger
