Pat had a wonderful hinterland of interests, in particular his excellent bridge game and his and Mary's wonderful skills as gardeners. No doubt there were more.

Most notably, he was a courageous and brave man who bore the burden of his blindness so lightly and with such fortitude for many years.

Above all, Pat was a family man, and that important value was recognised in full by the devotion of his children in his later years. Well done all for your love and care.
