Paul and I met in Arklow on holiday when I was 12 and he was 13 and we just clicked and stayed friends over all those years Our parents had known each other. Over decades we all partied together and experienced so many adventures led by Paul of course! And had so many laughs. Paul lived life to the fullest always and made many memories for us all to share. My thoughts and deepest condolences are for Adrienne, Jackie and Peter and all the family and friends near and far.
Deepest sympathy Adrienne and family. I was so sorry to hear the news of Paul’s passing. Such a lovely man who I liked the moment I met him. I was delighted to reconnect with you both a number of years back when I moved to Wicklow. Much love. Xx
I have just heard about Paul's sad passing. He was a man who has and will always have a place in my heart. I will always remember the great times we had during and after playing cricket for Arklow and the welcome he gave me when I returned to Ireland in 2005 in Bakers Dublin after a 13 year absence. My heart goes out to Adrienne and the 2 boys. Rest in peace my dear friend Paul. Ian and Valerie Wexford
Adrienne, we are all so sorry to hear of your sad loss. Michael and I had the pleasure of meeting Paul on a few occasions with you, and he was such a lovely person. Condolences from all the Quinlan family
I first met Paul in Chesters in the autumn of 1993. He was with Andrew Manson debating the merits of the New England skiff Andrew was building. Hearing their conversation, I simply had to intervene with my limited knowledge of boats & sailing. The skiff was built and I was invited to take the tiller for the launch in wicklow harbour with Paul & Andrew on board. I think it took 2/3 minutes, for it to sink in front of crowd looking on at WSC!
And so a friendship was born !
I shall miss that friendship as indeed we all will.
I was with Paul, again in Chesters, when the idea of the Cricket Club was first proposed. I was informed by Paul ( in his usual style) that I was playing cricket !
Paul was generous, inclusive, concerned & concerning for all about him. He was a winner. He bore his illness with typical bravery !
Adrienne & family...... my sincere condolences on this huge loss. You will always be in my heart.

Paul was not only a brother to Robert, he was a best friend. Paul regularly called to stay in touch with us in Canada. We always looked forward to his cheerful and loving messages. Love Andrea and my family in Canada.
My deepest sympathy to Paul's family on their sad loss. I smile when I think of Paul and my brother John ( Connell) strolling along Grafton Street in the 1970s. Both were wearing fur coats, John had long henna hair while Paul sported a top hat. A sight to behold and fun all the way.
My deepest heartfelt condolences to you Adrienne on loosing your beloved Paul. Such heartbreak 💔 Thinking of you and sending lots of love at this time. Xx ❤️
My thoughts are with Adrienne, the family and all thought whose lives were sprinkled with Davitt magic in Pauls company. The memories I have with Paul I treasure, I pull them out and dust them off when I need to smile. He often in my thoughts telling me not to take it all too seriously or to be the bigger person. Thats the thing!

Difficult to believe paul has gone. Condolences to you Adrienne. No doubt you'll miss him terribly as will everyone who knew him.
I'm just an old school mate who remembers Paul fondly on and off the rugby field. He was a big guy in every sense, a big heart, and a big smile. Paul was very kind to me when I started at St Mary's all those years ago. You don't forget that, and I haven't. We're all thinking of you, Adrienne, and all his loved ones.
My sincere condolences to all of Pauls family and large circle of friends. Paul was such a great man. He will be sadly missed. People certainly will smile as they recount tales of their experiences in his company. Sending love and light to all.

A true cricketing friend. Condolences to all the family and cricketing fraternity.
Paul was a great servant to Taverners Cricket. He could also be quite persuasive, as when he told me that ‘you’re playing in the Avondale game next Sunday - and giving a speech on Charles Stewart Parnell at half-time’! Rest in Peace Paul.
Our sincere condolences to Jackie and all of Paul's family & friends May he rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Adrienne and to all of Paul’s family
My deepest sympathies to Adrienne, Peter and Jackie at the loss of a wonderful Husband and Brother and to his many, many pals who have lost a fabulous friend. The world will be an emptier, lonelier place without Paul's charismatic presence but I hope that you can all take comfort in the wonderful memories he left behind. I have no doubt that he is now enjoying a pint of the black stuff and regaling his new friends with his humour and sense of fun in the next stage of his journey. May he rest in eternal fun & laughter. Thinking of you all x
