Very sorry to hear of Peter's demise regret that I could not attend at the mass. I will always remember the the annual training in Kilkenny and Gormonston and the other memorable occasions in uniform which we spent together. Peter always made his presents felt and he will be missed. May the Lord have mercy on his soul.

To Kieran and the entire Sands family, I send my sincere condolences to you at the sad passing of your dear father Peter.
Peter was a kind and friendly face for me when I went away from home on my first FCA camp to Kilkenny in 1969 He made us feel important as recruits and always respected us as real people. Peter carried this lovely trait with him throughout his military career and always put his men first.
May his kindness and good nature be well rewarded, and may Peter Rest in his Eternal Peace.

Terry Dullaghan
