Condolences on death of Peter a kind and gentle man who loved dancing. May his gentle soul rest peaefully with angels. X
Sincere sympathy to all the family on the death of Peter. I was so sorry to hear of his death. One of Galway’s characters. I remember getting a lift of him to visit my uncle in Spiddal over 40 years ago. I was given a mission as a “co-pilot”. The car (one of many) kept slipping out of gear and he asked me to hold in gear for him. He had an amazing memory, he remembered every calf that he sold my father in the previous years.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h'anam.

Joe

Sincere sympathy on Peter's passing to his nieces and nephews. May he rest in peace. .
He was a constant visitor to my home in Athenry dealing in stock and there was always a great welcome for him .
One late evening over 50 years ago he arrived hot-footed from a sale in the South of Ireland with a truck full of calves to offer first pick to my parents. They bought 11 calves, some for 5 pounds and others for 6. Afterwards during the chat in the kitchen Dad had started writing out the cheque when Peter said 'Will you buy the one that;s lying down?' My father answered 'Sure she might be no good to me', to which Peter replied 'She's the best one in it'
That put it up to my father so a deal was done. They bought the ailing calf - a purebred Friesian and my mother nursed her back to full health. True to Peter's word this cow was a great milker and had several calves including twins .
There will be fun in Heaven Peter when you all meet up.
Our sympathy to the nieces and nephews of Peter. May he rest in peace united with his brother Donie
My sincere sympathies to the Lydon & Connolly families on the sad passing of Peter. Great memories of times past especially on fair day in Spiddal when Donnie & Peter would call for the tea and brown bread and no doubt a few yarns - two great characters. May you Rest In Peace Peter.
