Dan Junior and I would like to thank all those who have left such lovely messages on the recent death of our darling Mother, Phila Egan. We would also like to thank our family and friends for being present when we needed them most. Our beautiful Mother meant the world to us and it has been very gratifying and humbling to read and hear all the messages of support, both here and by phone, close and afar. Our Mother meant everything to us as her children but what is clear is that she meant so much also to her family and friends. Mum led a great life and we as a familly cherish all that she has left us as her legacy. Thank you.

My deepest condolences to Grace and Dan on the sad news of Phila’s passing. She will be remembered with great fondness. May she rest in peace.

Our heartfelt sympathies to you, Grace and Dan and to Michael. I have such lovely childhood memories of school holidays spent in Evora Park and beyond. The fun and laughter and love and warmth that emanated from you all, started with Aunty Phila. She welcomed me into the fold with open arms and embraced me as she would one of her own. She ensured I always felt part of the family and the times we had together are the most cherished memories of my childhood. She was a truly beautiful lady, may she rest in peace.

We were blessed to share time with Phila, revel in her warmth, great sense of humour and sharpness of mind, and admire her fortitude, particularly in recent years, and her enduring capacity to be upbeat and fun.
She was a marvellous sister to our Mum, who adored her company and support throughout their lives, and there’s a treasure trove of photos in all our houses testifying to the happiness & joy that Phila gave to us. She will be truly missed but always remembered with great love and fondness.
