Although I lost contact with Philip a long time ago, I remember our school days together under Andy O'Brien and Miss Cullivan in the old Crubany National School in the '50s and getting lifts to school from the Imperial in Mr. Reilly's car. He was a lovely friend to have.

Coincidentally Cathy and I have just moved into our mews house designed by Philip in the early '90's. It has exceeded our expectations as our downsizer. Fondly remembered.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Philip's passing. We were all neighbours at one time and friends too. Pipe Reilly, his nickname, because he wore drainpipe trousers, the 50s style. My sincere sympathy to his wife, children and grandchildren and to his sister Breda. He was an architect and a gentleman.
