Pierce McNamara

Very sorry to hear about the passing of Pierce. He was our neighbour in Clonmellon, on Ballinlough Road for many years. He was a very kind and friendly man who will be dearly missed. Sincerest condolences to the entire McNamara family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. May he rest in peace.

I only heard that Pierce died today and I now offer you and all the family my condolences. We had many years involved in rugby and he will always be remembered for his dedication.

So sad to hear of Pierce,s passing .A fellow Ballinlough man, who helped us greatly when the club was been set up in 1991 by calling down and offering advice and giving us invaluable pointers.Will never be forgotten.

Pierce welcomed me so warmly to the Highfield family and team for my three years in Cork in the 90s. He was a gentleman, a rugbyman and a Highfield

Mairead and family, I was saddened to learn of the passing of Pierce to his eternal reward. From the time I joined Highfield over 50 years ago I saw his total commitment to the club in every aspect that he became involved, without any personal gain but for the love of Rugby and especially the club and Munster Rugby. I had personal first hand experience of both his dedication and professionalism on a weekly basis when I was hon treasurer in Jubilee Year and the building of the new changing rooms, which are a testament to him. His ongoing service and advices to the club continued over his lifetime. May he rest in peace
