Ramona was such a kind, sweet and wise person. I loved working with her in Londis many years ago, and have bumped into her out and about and had chats, many times since moving back. She was so dignified and philosophical in her attitude towards her illness. My heartfelt condolences to Andrew and to all Ramona’s family and friends.

I feel compelled to not let the passing of a beautiful lady go without acknowledging her innate kindness and empathy for me on the death of my own dear wife Jean some years ago. I needed to shop more and it was always an easy outing for me to visit Londis where so many kind people worked, especially the two ‘R’s Ramona & Rufina . Ramona was kindness itself and always mentioned my Jean in her words of empathy. I didn’t realise Ramona was so ill in the past few months and I send my deepest sympathy to Andrew , her parents and brother . She has made the journey of returning to them again to rest in her native Spanish soil and we send our prayers with her. May her gentle soul enjoy the peace of the Kingdom and be free from her sufferings. ‘Safely Home’ .

When I first joined Londis in February this year, Ramona made me feel so welcome. We had a lovely conversation about music, and she told me how much she loved The Smiths. From the very beginning, she helped me feel comfortable in the job. May she rest in peace.
