Sincere sympathy to Mary and all the Dunphy families on the sad loss of Fr Lar. He was a great servant to Camross Parish & spearheaded many organisations. He was very involved with the GAA and used to pack his green Triumph Hearld with juveniles going to matches. He never left anyone behind. He founded our Camogie Club and the Comhaltas. 2025 was an extremely successful year for both groups. It is a true saying 'When you are drinking the water you should never forget who dug the well'. God rest you Fr Dunphy with all your loved ones gone before you.

He attended our Wedding in 1974 in Wexford. And we then met him years later in Kilkenny. A lovely man. May He Rest in Peace. Tony & Theresa and The Stars Band Wexford.

Sincere condolences to Mary and all the extended Dunphy families and the Priests of the Diocese on the sad passing of Fr. Canon Dunphy. He had a warm personality and was a man of vision to get things done.
He will be remembered by many with great fondness for starting a Camogie Club in the sixties for the young girls in the Parish of Camross. It couldn’t have been an easy task at the time but he persevered. He was our trainer and mentor back then and sixty years on, the Camogie Club is still going strong.
Thank you Fr. Lar for all your kindness and may you now rest with the Lord, with a peace that you so richly deserve.
