Deepest sympathies to all the family.
Heartfelt sympathy to Fr. Martin, the Morrisey families and all who grieve for beloved Fr. John at this sad time. He lived his faith, served his community and loved his home. Fondest memories of his visits to my parents, sister, brothers and I, his arrival was an unforgettable highlight of our summer holidays throughout the years. A lovely gentleman, we are blessed to have known him. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam dílis.
So sad to hear for Father John's passing, a great friend of my father's.

As a student in Fiji in the 80s I came to know Fr John RIP. He was a great support to me in settling into a new country. My condolences to the Morrissey family and the Columbans at this sad time.
Deepest Sympathy to the Morrissey family in the sad passing of Fr.John.Many stories often recalled about his expliots on the fields of play for Cooraclare G.A.A.Always a pleasure to meet him on his many trips home.May He Rest In Eternal Peace after a long life of service to God and his people.
Deepest sympathy to Fr Martin and the extended Morrissey families on the death of Fr John. Fr John, who was then lecturing in the Columban Seminary in Dalgan, baptised my son Cathal in Ratoath in 1977. Subsequently, I ran with him occasionally when he was ministering in the Harrington Street parish, Dublin. Not only was he an excellent footballer, he was also a decent runner. Ceol na nAingeal go gcloise sé agus ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal
