May Fr Barry rest very gently in peace. I first met Fr Barry in Sheanbeg when he visited his neighbours with his lovely mother on his holidays while in South Africa. He was the same age as my late dad Kevin. He always spoke kindly about my late Dad.
Fr Barry's influence on all he met here in the parish was immense when he retired to Conna. A gentle and well humoured man with an incredible faith.

It was a pleasure to have known Fr Paddy, as a child I clearly remember his visits to Conna from his mission work in S Africa. I was always intrigued by his lovely voice and the mix of accents, when he came to live at Montys i often called to him and he was always charming and good humoured.
Sincere condolences to his family and to his fellow priests especially Fr Billy O Donovan who served with Fr Paddy for years here in Conna.

Very sorry to hear of his passing. A former neighbour in Kilcoran, I remember his visits home from South Africa in the late 1960s/70's to see his parents.

He would always call to our house. I recollect him reminscing with my father about their time at Shean School, where they were taught by a Mrs Downing, who lived in Coolrue with her husband Bill. A lovely man.
