Rest in peace Father Pat. You deserve it after a lifetime of faithful service to the Lord. No doubt He has given you a great welcome. Whilst you are missed by all your relatives and many friends down here, especially Chris and Michele, no doubt you are renewing acquaintance with old friends up there. We hope to meet you again one day.

He was at St Cuthbert's, Kenton Newcastle when I as growing up and we all loved him! He was a great priest and always so kind, funny and approachable. The Church could do with many more like him. We were so lucky to have him, even for a while.

I was so sorry to hear about the sad passing of Fr.Pat
Whether it was meeting him in Macroom calling into his beloved Julie, or meeting him in the Irish centre in Newcastle, he was always so warm, funny, wise and so helpful. I know he’ll be greatly missed by so many , both in the North East and in Macroom & Aghinagh Parishes.

Fr Paddy was such a lovely, warm and open person to all who had the pleasure to meet him. He has gone on to join all his and our loved ones resting ( and probably singing and joking) in God’s love.
Thank God for Fr Paddy.

Fr Pat was a gentle man and a gentleman. He was a Father to his Parishioners and much much more. Always smiling,he was always looking to help others and loved a joke and banter. Fr Pat was very kind to me when I was Studying in England taking me out for a bite to eat and introducing me to friends. He took an interest in his new home but kept a keen finger of the pulse of Macroom. We would share a laugh in recent times and more banter about the Geordies and Mackems and I will miss him greatly.

My deepest sympathies to Chris and to the many family, friends, and parishoners of my late uncle, Fr Pat. He was always kind in his interactions with people, and his good humour made us laugh as kids when he visited Cork each summer. He was highly regarded by my mother (his sister-in-law), who went to great lengths each summer to lay out the red carpet in her own unique way for a very special visitor. She is no doubt preparing to welcome him once again. May he Rest In Peace.

Fr. Pat always made time for a visit when he was home and we have lovely memories of these visits where long chats were had over many cups of tea, where Fr Pat always had a good story too.
