My sincere condolences to Mary & all the Harrington family, I first met Richie in Richview Brown & Nolan when the Sunday Tribune printed there in the 80’s, he was a genius on those printing machines he would arrive to work in an immaculate 3 piece suit & when his talent was required to sort out a problem the overalls would be on & black ink up to his armpits. Such an amazing character

I've know Richard since I was eight years old. We always ended up being in the same social circle where I was welcomed and accepted by the Harrington family with loving arms. Richard was such an indefinable character but life was never boring when he was around! The last time I spoke to him he said that it was terrible getting old. I just hope that he's partying somewhere with Joe, Eileen, Derek, Siobhan and Eva. My sincerest condolences to all the Harrington's.

I was very sorry to hear of Richard's passing. Sending my best wishes to Mary, his children and brothers Paul and Joe, and the wider Harrington family on this very sad day. And very much thinking of Robert, Derek and Siobhan and their wonderful mum Eileen.

I enjoyed sharing many songs with Richard over the years. From my family and I, we send Paul, Joe and the Harrington family our deepest sympathies and condolences.

I first met Richard in 1985, and we remained connected for the ensuing 38 years. Others were closer and knew him better, and yet in the tapestry of my life, the vermillion thread that was Richard has now been cut and can never be replaced.
