A visit from auntie Rita to carrowfree was never ever boring, she always arrived looking very glamorous and had stories from her teaching and childhood days, which we all enjoyed listening to.

Condolences to all the Redmond family on the sad loss of Rita. She was an extremely impressive person and teacher, with great ability and dedication to her students. Her classes always set a strong standard, and she knew when to challenge us. In class, she encouraged reading and introduced us to lots of brilliant books: she gave me a copy of Great Expectations and persuaded me to read it at home, which was hard work at first, but I finished it and still have a fondness for Dickens. How sad it was that her later decades were challenging, but the fondness for her is clear in this condolence book. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.
