On behalf of the board, staff and members of BirdWatch Ireland (Irish Wildbird Conservancy) I would like to express our deepest sympathy on the loss of one of nature’s true gentlemen. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
Deepest condolences on the loss of a great man. When I’d meet Sam out in the field birdwatching I’d be both happy and apprehensive. Happy because he’d always give you a big smile and welcome when out birding, (“Ah howya Tom, any rare birds about?”), apprehensive because he’d nearly crush my hand with his unbelievably strong handshake! May he rest in peace.
Deepest sympathy at this time on the loss of such a wonderful gentleman. Himself and Aunty Mary gave us lots of treasured childhood memories, and its comforting to know they are back together again xx
