Niall, we've been away and have only just heard of the sad passing of your dear dad Sean. Our deepest sympathy to you, your mum Maurita, your siblings and your extended family and Sean's friends. In these the saddest of times for you all Sean's life is one to be celebrated. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word and it was always a pleasure to be in his company whether it was doing battle on the opposite side of the tennis court or just meeting him out and about. His generous nature shone through his smile and as did his sense of fun! Sean will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him and this world has lost one of it's treasures. I remember like yesterday the wonderful times I had in your home and back garden playing tennis so many years ago. The fun the innocence and the competitiveness will live with me forever. Thank you Sean & Maurita for making me feel so welcome in your home ( and for the ham sandwiches) So kind and generous! Sean has been a neighbour of my family since he came to live in Blackrock with his beloved family.Sean and his wife weee the nicest neighbours one could have. I always found Sean to be a quiet and private person . I would meet himself and his wife out walking on the back road known more so now as the Rock Road . They always had time to talk to their neighbours. Both were so kind.To Sean’s wife a special word of sympathy. My late mam Agnes Malone and dad Jim
Malone would have known Sean and Marieta very well.To son Niall and his partnerGwen a special message of sympathy also.Niall and Gwen have been close neighbours of mine when they lived in what I will always call Murphy’s house next door for 3 years.Sean was a man who showed what a real Blackrock person was like. Kind, considerate , honest and sincere. His wife Mariets is just the same. A lovely person.A light has gone out over Blackrock as our village has lost one of it’s nicest and kindest citizens
