My heartfelt condolences to the Gilroy and O’Reilly families as you mourn this immense loss. Though I came to know the Irish side of the family more deeply after Sean Gilroy's passing, I was immediately struck by the kindness and warmth that defines your family, a rare and beautiful quality.
With ties to both your Canadian and Irish loved ones, I feel this sorrow alongside you. May you find strength in each other and comfort in the memories that will forever bind you together.
You remain in my thoughts during this difficult time. I had the privilege of meeting Sheila on a few occasions during her travels in Canada, and I remember her fondly. My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you navigate this loss.
I also hold fond memories of Anne (I am truly sorry for your loss, Anne), a beautiful soul whom I was lucky to call my friend. We met through her cousin Sean, back when she stayed with Auntie Katie on multiple occasions. Though those days were many years ago, the warmth of those moments stays with me, proof that friendships leave a lasting imprint.
May you all find comfort in the love, faith, and special memories you shared.

We have such special memories of our trips to Lambay with Sheila. Laughter, exploring and many long meaningful chats, created a unique experience which was a privilege to share with Sheila. A wonderful Soul with huge compassion for all her friends and strangers too. We will miss her presence. Thinking of you all at this difficult time. XXX

My Mum Teresa was a sister of Mary Somers.
Sheila was actually my Godmother, as she was training as a Midwife in Holles St when I was born.
She was a lovely kind gentle woman, and always so welcoming whenever we met.

Dear Kathy, Anne, John, Vera and families!

I've had the honour of meeting Sheila in an Irish course in Clontarf and from the very first moment I knew she was special, a true lady and great friend!

We went to Donegal with our Irish class, later on to Lambay Island with some of her lovely friends, to Roscommon/Galway to visit family and Sheila even came to Austria for our wedding. She is fondly remembered by our families in Ireland and Austria!
