I remember with fond affection my beautiful friend Sheila who was always such an absolute pleasure to meet as she really didn't have a bad bone in her body. She nurtured and loved her family and knew the meaning of family values, friendship, loyalty and above all a complete sense of fun and laughter. Kieran, Colman & Sheila, your Mum's beauty will now live in your hearts. As a young backpacker, I enjoyed a great week with Sheila and family in Brisbane in 1987 and enjoyed the home baking that you spoke of today Kieran. Colman you made us feel very welcome showing us around Brisbane with great enthusiam. Sheil, you inspired your beloved Mum every day. Rest softly with the angels Sheila. Julie x

I am so sorry to hear about Sheila’s passing. She was a lovely lady who I met first in Skibbereen and then also enjoyed her company when she came to Kenmare a couple of times , once with her daughter Sheila who she was so proud to introduce to me. Thinking of Kieran, Colman, Sheila Jnr and younger cousins at this sad time upon the passing of your Mum and Grandmother. I have fond memories of meeting “Auntie” during my visits to Skibbereen many years ago.

Her support for my wife Kathy (RIP) and her affection for all involved with the group will always be treasured. On our journeys between Skibbereen and Caheragh each week Sheila would share news about her family abroad. Sheila was great company: warm, bright, funny and caring. She will surely be missed.

So sad to learn that Sheila is no longer with us. She was a true lady with a vibrant smile. I've had many lovely chats with her during my time at SRCC. In recent months, she loved it when we came in with Milo, my dog. We will miss her so much.
