So sad to hear of Sr. Assumpta's passing. My heartfelt condolences to her family and the Mercy community. I have lovely memories of meeting her in Macroom when my family and I visited Sr. Joseph English (my aunt) there. She was always so welcoming, hospitable and happy to see us. She kept me in her prayers at times when I needed all the help I could get. It was very kind of her and greatly appreciated. She was like a member of our extended family. May she Rest in Peace!

I have lovely memories of her kindness to us on our visits to my late aunt, Sr. Joseph, in Macroom. We, the English Family will never forget her goodness to our late aunt. I enjoyed many visits to Mallow to see Sr. Assumpta over the years. I am pleased to have visited her in Nazareth House in June. We all benefited from her daily prayers. She was great for her letter writing. May her kind & gentle soul rest in peace with God & Our Blessed Lady.

Sr. Assumpta was a very special person to all of us who were privileged
to have known and loved her, with her beautiful spirit of kindness, caring,
and her unassuming way. She served the Lord, her fellow sisters, friends and all who visited the Convent in Macroom.

Saddened to hear of the passing of Sr Assumpta. Sincere sympathy to her family, her Mercy sisters and her many friends who loved her dearly. Happy memories of when we visited my late aunt Sr Joseph English in Macroom and Sr Assumpta herself in Mallow where she fussed over us and fed us until we could eat no more. I once worked for a couple of weeks at the convent in Macroom where I was so fortunate to meet Sr Assumpta. I never forgot her kindness and sweet nature. We cooked and cleaned together and she was fun and had a lovely happy disposition. Rest in peace Sr and may God wrap you in His blanket of Love forever. My sympathies to all who loved you.
