Sincere sympathy to Sr Mary SRMartha Katherine and Leamy family. She was a wonderful lady and tutor who imparted her knowledge and nursing skills to us. she always told us the patient was the most important person. I have very fond memories of my student days class of 66.to 69

We have such fond memories of when we were growing up, the times when the nuns used to visit their first cousin, Peg, our late mother, memories that are still held with great warmth and affection.

It is with sadness to learn of the passing of Sr Angela Leamy, whom I got to know while at Bon Secours Hospital. Sister Angela was a wonderful nurse educator who was ahead of her time. As I remember her, she focused on teaching 'patient centered care' through the lens of the 'student experience' long before either term was developed. She knew each student personally and working with their strengths, focused her teaching to help them deliver care using a patient centered approach.

The passing of my former tutor has brought back a flood of memories. Sr. Angela had an uncanny ability to read us like an open book, seeing straight through us with her sharp insight and that familiar, playful, knowing smile. When I later qualified, I came to realise just how well she had understood our strengths—often better than we understood them ourselves. I remember her iconic black book seemed to hold everything, a map to our futures. Sr Angela rest in peace

Fond memories of my training days in BSH.Sr Angela was a kind, dedicated and practical nurse and tutor who tried as far as possible to pass on these attributes to her student nurses.The patient is the most important person and this is something which I always remember and have carried with me throughout my career.
Her ability to staff the hospital from a little black book is something which I never will forget, no computer e roster could have her great head and memory.
