Sr. Catherine McGovern

Sister Catherine was a wonderful friend and neighbour, who will be very much missed here on the Chalet Estate in Mill Hill for her remarkable wisdom, thoughtfulness and kindness towards everyone, and for her seemingly endless fund of stories about her extraordinary life.

It's hard to believe that we won't see her again, but she will always be with us in our thoughts and our memories.

May she rest in peace.

My sister lives in the Chalet Estate in Mill Hill, and Sister Catherine was a neighbour. She was one the most amazing people I have met in my life. My deepest condolences to her family in Ireland and America, and to the other Sisters of her Franciscan order, some of whom I knew in Mill Hill. She was full of wisdom, kindness, and holiness. She knew
exactly what to do to help people. She had a great sense of humour, and told us wonderful stories of her life as a nun in Africa and elsewhere. May she rest in peace.

Me and my Mum met Sister Catherine on Christmas eve in the sacred heart church Mill Hill, she was such a lovely person and i was so grateful to have met her and get to know her.
Heaven has gained a wonderful person.

What an awful sad shock to hear of the passing of my dear and special friend St Catherine , May god rest her beautiful soul and kindest heart.
We used to chat regularly.
Also my Uncle Brother Donal Madden who lives in South Africa and met Sr Catherine few years back whilst on holiday in London has requested that I pass on his sincere Condolences, prayers will be offered for her Intentions.
