It’s with deep sadness to hear the passing of my dearest friend Sr. Clare. She touched everyone who crossed her path. Her list of accomplishments are endless !
She was my boss principal at St. Vincent Ferrer church in Delray Beach, FL. She was The Best boss to work for. She and I were close friends as well, I would consider her one of the family. We traveled and vacationed together. I know she is happy now joining all of those who meant so much to her who left before her. What a grand party that must of been !
I will miss you my dear friend, till we meet again. I love you beyond words!

Sister Mary Clare was a great example and friend to all.
I knew Sister from the late 70s after moving to Delray with my son in the mid 70s.
Sister was a young and energetic very positive and uplifting and remained that way through all her life here in Delray Beach. I watched her grow from a young sister to her news of retiring to her homeland of Ireland to minister to her brothers who were ill.
I am a nurse and Sister was ministering and bringing communion to my patient who was home bound and loved the Lord.
Sisters vision was poor but she would get drivers to take her to all the people who were home bound and loved her very much
so they could get communion.
I don’t know where to start with what a kind and uplifting positive friend she was to me.
I was a single mother and she put my son’s school picture in her prayer book and I know what an influence she had in both our lives.
I never felt judged by her and she knew all the struggles I was having with myself as a single mother.
God Rest Her Soul, I am picturing her doing the Irish folk dance and I don’t think there was anyone in Delray who could compete.

Sister Mary Clare always had a smile every morning to greet our 4th class for each new day at St. Vincent Ferrer. She was very kind and had a calming way about her. She was a huge part of my great memories of going to St. Vincent’s. So sad to hear of her passing❤️🙏🏻 Joe Luiso - former student

I was so blessed to know Sr. Clare. She was truly a wonderful person with a heart of gold who loved everyone and brought joy to those around her. She first and foremost was a servant of God, who dedicated her life to the Sisters of Mercy. She loved her family and spoke of them often. She was an inspiration to her students and loved them all. She was a great conversationalist to say the least, and always had a witty joke to share. I will miss the sparkle in your eyes and your white box that you carried everywhere. Safe home my friend, you will be missed.

My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. I was honored to know her since I was 11 years old at St Vincent Ferrer and was with her throughout her last years there as principal. Our experience together during that time bonded us forever. I wish I could have attended her funeral in person, but was awe struck watching online… it was one of the most beautiful services I’ve ever seen and an exceptional tribute to this great lady! Sr Clare was truly a “Life of love in action!”
