I am so sorry to hear of Sr Kates passing. Sr Kate to all who were in her very first class in the convent at Scoil Mhuire Banrion when she arrived in Mayfield was such a life mentor to all. She was beautiful and vibrant and we just loved her. She was the perfect teacher, direct,strict but still so much fun to be with and creative beyond her time. She changed my whole life and others in the class who lacked in confidence. She pushed us into challenges and I will never forget her for concentrating on my talent of stage which only for her I would not be where I am today. She watched and pushed us in the correct direction for our desired purpose here in life. My one regret is I just published my first book in April and dedicated also a section to her, she never realised how much she changed all of us in life. From all her students at the Convent she will always remain in our hearts. She wanted us to succeed. R.I.P Sr Kate (Sr Aidan), Lillian O'Donnell and all the student in Scoil Mhuire Banrion during all your years.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Sr Kate RIP. She was my principal for many years in SMB, Mayfield. My sincere sympathy to her family and to all her friends especially the Mercy sisters.

Sincere condolences to the family of Sr. Kate on her passing. Sr. Kate was a most positive influence on me as I went through my primary school days under her principalship in Scoil Mhuire Banríon. I have a stand out memory of her kindness and care; she brought me to the adjoining convent with her after school ended one day, for something to eat, as my parents were going to be late collecting me.
She also instilled in me a love of singing when I was part of her fantastic choir that sang weekly in Our Lady Crowned Church.
I went on to become a primary school teacher myself, no doubt in part-due to the wonderful education and care I was given by Sr. Kate and her staff in Scoil Mhuire Banríon over 30 years ago. Go raibh maith agat, Sr. Kate. Rest in peace.

Our deepest condolences to everyone who are grieving the loss of this wonderful woman. Sr. Kate was such a huge influence on all the pupils that she taught in Scoil Mhuire Ban Rian Mayfield. She delighted in imparting her love of music to her students which I know many have benefited so much from to this day. She taught my daughter and I was happy and proud to have been on the parents committee for nine years where I really loved and respected her and her dedication to her work.
