Fond Memories of meeting Sr Mary in Lourdes in 2012 on Carmelite Pilgrimage and our chats when we met at social and religious events in Kinsale since then when she always greeted me with a warm welcoming smile. May she rest in peace

Sr Mary was another individual who made a huge contribution to the education of the people of Kinsale. She always had the welfare of her pupils and the town's people in her heart. Even in her retirement, she always asked about people and would always stop and have a chat. Rest in peace.

Deepest sympathies to the McAuliffe families and the Mercy Sisters in Kinsale on the sudden passing of Sr. Mary. Intermittent meetings with Mary Mc over the years include our paths happily crossing -fado fado - during summer school holidays with Bill & Maureen Fitzgibbon in Feohanagh and over the years brief warm chats at funerals of relatves. In recent years cousins Mary and John McCarthy kindly kept me abreast with awe of Sr. Mary's many activities and travels. May the King of the Angels lead Sr. Mary to the heavenly city on high.

She was such a kind and loving person who enriched so many lives in the community of Kinsale and beyond. I had the privilege of being taught by her in St. Josephs. I loved her. She gave me my first teaching job and for that I’m truly grateful . I was lucky to be part of a group of teachers that met regularly and Sr Mary always enjoyed our outings to Bandon and Timoleague . A truly special person who has left such a huge legacy .We will all miss her.
