Like so many here I was lucky enough to have Sr Rita as a teacher in St Mary's and she managed to achieve the highest accolade a teacher can expect from a student - being described as "sound". She always made an effort to check in or say a kind word, and was great fun as well as being a wonderful teacher who very clearly loved her profession. May she rest easy. My sympathies to her family, and to the Sisters of Mercy.

Dear Sr. Rita,

Rest in peace in your well deserved place with the Lord of all. You were not alone a great teacher but also so kind, empathetic & non judgemental. As stated in a previous condolence herein, you listened to everyone's opinion & that you did. No one was left out or singled out, no favourites or 'cherry picking'. A true follower of the Lord's teaching. I loved Religion class because of you, you brought vibrance & enthusiasm, you gave it life through your art of discussion & debate. You were Amazing. You stood out for being You. For these reasons & many more your memory shines & always will. I have thought of you so many times over the years. My heartfelt condolence to your family as you are indeed a tremendous loss. Fairwell lovely person. Enjoy your well deserved Heavenly Reward.
