To All the Cowhey Family.
We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Stephen.
Stephen was so kind to all our children when they began playing school chess and he gave them lessons. He took such interest and pride in their going on to win Munster competitions.
He had a sense of humour and fun that was inspiring.
Truly a lovely gentleman has gone to his resting place.
Be assured of our thoughts and prayers at this hard time.

My sincere condolences to Geraldine and family and to the extended Cowhey family. From his early days in Creagh Lane school Stephen was a very good all round sportsman. A tough uncompromising player. I have very fond memories of camping, as youngsters, in Kilkee, behind the Atlantic hotel with Stephen, Raymie and Dick. Stephen gave us his own version of the song Honey and in his own words. Very funny.

I remember Stephen well from our schooldays, playing with and against him be it gaelic football, soccer or rugby. A great sportsman, he was a rock solid team mate and a formidable opponent.
