Thank you dearest Steve for all the cherished years that we had together with our wonderful and beloved children, Vivien and David.

Later we were joined in that love by our daughter-in-law Bronwyn, our son-in-law
Jimmy. and our fabulous grandchildren, Billie, Macy, Hazel and Riley.

Such a clever fisherman Stephen was also a brilliant story teller and he had a profound knowledge of his fishing grounds. He had such great stories to tell which included those from the time he fished as a boy with his father Billy. Imagine lobster fishing in a currach along the shores towards the north side of Bofin and being accompanied by basking sharks whose dorsal fins you could reach out and touch.

Steve was truly a skilled traditional fisherman who could read the land, sea and sky and his love and care for us, his family floated our boats too.

Steve was and is truly loved

Sincerest sympathy to Dave and Viv, your mum, Bron, Jimmy and grandkids, Willie, Margaret, Ann, nephews and nieces, friends and neighbours on the sad loss of another lifelong Bofiner. A man who fished our waters all his life, true to traditions handed down for generations. Your footprints on the strand may be washed away, but your memory never will. Keep her stem into it Stephen, we'll meet again on that other shore. RIP

My first time meeting this gentleman was on my first trip to boffin. He picked up Dave and I in cleggan and we weren't outside the bay and he had a cray in a pot cooking and looked at me and said "you will get no fresher than that". Always friendly, always welcoming and now will always be missed. Sleep well buddy..
