I was so sorry to hear about Sylvia's passing and am glad she is finally at rest with your Dad. She was the kindest neighbour, always ready with a warm greeting and genuine care. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Margaret, John, Frank and families,I was so sorry to hear of the sad passing of your lovely Mam may she rest in peace.Unfortunately i didnt hear about it until the funeral had already started,so I followed it online.She was a lovely lady and a great friend to our Mam when Daddy passed.She wrote a beautiful letter to us when Mam passed away in 2014.Her handwriting was so neat and she wrote a very thoughtful letter.Last time I met her was in the park where we had a lovely chat about oldtimes.Theyre all up there together now.Look after each other Take carexx

Sylvia was one of my mother's friends from her Glasnevin school days (Deirdre Clancy, nee Cogan), a group that remained extremely close throughout their lives with weekly Friday night gatherings. Deepest condolences to all of the Kennedy family.

It was with a heavy heart i saw your text the other night..instinct. I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your dear mother .. A kind, clever and a lovely women, known affectionately by all in our family back in the early days as Aunty Sylvia.. I remember her taking in and giving that gorgeous big wooly dog cheeko a lovely home and to the others that followed. She had a BIG heart ❤️. Mam and herself had a great old time with the Fri nights girls. An erudite and interesting group of young women. Most getting to live well into there late 80's and mam like yours there 98th year and thats a gift. Sylvia was there for my mam while miles away on the ph right up until the end. And I am glad i kept in touch since with her for those next few months. It was very special to me. How lucky we were to have been blessed by such wonderful, kind, strong and generous mothers in our lives. I hope she has met up with all the gang. May her gentle soul now rest in peace , her work is done and her journey at an end. She was a wonderful person 🕊 😘

Margaret, John and Frank, I was so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was a lovely person and someone of truly independent mind.
