RIP Uncle Tommy ☘️💪. His wife and my mom were sisters and we would visit or have Uncle Tommy, Auntie Joe, Frank & Trish visit us in greater Boston. He and my dad were heros to me as Irish immigrant who came to the USA and raised families that achieved the American dream with their examples! He pulled me aside in the Bronx and gave me guidance to go to college and become the man I am today. He is missed… yet his memory put a smile on me even today! The amount of laughs and smiles over the years in his presence is innumerable ☺️ ☘️❤️🙏.
Our sincere condolences on the passing of Tom. May he Rest in Peace. Michael, Rona, Siobhan and Callum Hansbury, Doonane

Sad to hear of the passing of Tommie. My Condolence to Josephine, Francis, peggy and Families. Amongst my memories the excitement of Tommie and his red haired wife in the pub on Sundays after second Mass. Lots of Laughter and Goodwill. May Tommie Rest in Peace
Although I didnt know Thomas personally I was reading the notices from my native county when I read the gentle and loving tribute to him. I thought of him and the many other people from Galway including members of my own family, now also sadly departed, who went to America and to England in times gone by in search of work and a better life. They were fine people, adventurous and hard working but their hearts remained forever in Galway. May Thomas Rest in Peace.

We were saddened to learn of the passing of Uncle Tommy. He was one of a kind - a true gentleman, hard-working, well-read, full of love for his family and one of the most engaging characters we have ever had the pleasure to meet, let alone be related to. His legacy goes on in his children and grandchildren, of whom he was rightly proud. Now back with Aunt Jo, he leaves us all with our own special memories of a wonderful man. Rest in Peace Uncle Tommy - until we meet again, with love from all of us.

Sincere sympathy to Frank and Doreen, Patricia and John, Matthew, Kelly, Fiona and Tommy and extended family on the loss of "Tommie" as we always called him. Ever since were were children, news of "the Yanks" being home meant that Tommie and his wife Josephine had arrived. America then seemed another world away from rural Doonaun! He worked hard all his life, was an intelligent, self-educated man. He returned every year to his roots and he is now coming home to rest in this ancient and wonderful country which was always close to his heart. May He Rest in Peace.
Deepest sympathy to Tom's family, a lovely man. He would call to Monivea Garda Station each time he would come home, he would have forms to get signed etc. He always had time for a chat and I loved meeting him and listening to his most interesting conversations. I also had the pleasure of spending a day working for him in New York many years ago, may Tom Rest in Peace. A lovely tribute from his family..
