To Anne and all the Cheevers and Monaghan family it was with great sadness that i heard of Tommys passing he was such a big part of our time in North Gate St the best neighbour and friend and he will be greatly missed may he rest in peace
Deepest sympathy Ann on the very sad news of Thomas' passing. Sympathies also to his sister Eileen, brother Brendan, the wider Cheevers and Monaghan family members. I remember him for his knowledge of athletics and particularly, cross-country running. He had pride in his and his brother Brendan's, achievements in athletics. He and a few of us formed an athletic club in Athenry in the mid seventies. No doubt he was proud of the present new local athletic club. For those of us running in the seventies, his love of running was infectious. He also loved angling of course. Fondly remembered for his good humour. R.I.P.
