Maarten & Piet, So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Fond memories of waffles during Dalkey Sea Scout PL meetings at your home in Dalkey.
Dorothy & Maarten, we were so sorry to hear of Trude’s passing. Our condolences to you both and all the extended family. We have very fond memories of Trude being so kind and welcoming.
I met Trude when I joined American Women’s Club of Dublin. She was always so stylish, kind & fun. They both dearly loved their family. I enjoyed all the fabulous artwork in their Dalkey home. While my Norwegian 🇳🇴 was limited she liked we chatted a bit. My father immigrated to the US from Norway as well.
So many fond memories of Trude, of her kindness and interest in everyone & everything around her. She was truly one in a million. I treasure having had her & Nol as friends and they always asked after my son 🧡
Dear Marten and Piet,
I am sad and sorry to hear of the passing of your dear Mother, our dear Friend, Trude. So many positive and wonderful adjectives describe her. Those that standout are: the craic, generosity, ..and hospitality....which she shared with your Dad. And then her love of Art, loving care of plants and flowers, great cooking and dedication to fairness in all aspects of human endeavor. R I P.
Happy memories of Trude and Nol in Irish-Scandinavian circles. Special memories of sharing stories from Trøndelag with Trude.

My deepest sympathy to Maarten and Dorothy, Piet and Brook, and your families on the passing of Trude. I hope your memories of her wonderful life will comfort you at this sad time. May she now rest in peace 🙏🏻
What a great woman, had such a great influence on us as kids, always wise. Deepest sympathies to Maarten, Piet, Dorothy, Brook and extended families
My deepest condolences go out to Maarten, Dorothy, Piet, Brooke and family. Trude was a treasure, a gift of joy, laughter and strong family bonds. She was a huge presence in my entire life and I will forever cherish my memories with her. Much love..
To Maarten, Piet and extended family,
It was with great sadness I learned of Trude’s passing. She was a truly wonderful lady, so friendly and so kind. I worked closely with her on the Norwegian entry for the Christmas Around the World Exhibition, many years ago, and we had so much fun, along with Nol too. We still remember her delicious herrings and bacalao served up in the Irish Scandinavian Club!
I extend my deepest sympathy to you all and am thinking of you at this very sad time.
Thank you for all the memories and hugs. Love from Hannah, Morten and me.
So sorry to hear this news. Trude & Nol were such a lovely engaging couple. Very interesting to talk to and interested in everyone and everything. We knew them from the Irish Scandinavian Club. Our condolences to their extended family.
Thinking of you all at this time 🌹
