There are no words that will be able to express fully our feelings for Una.
I first came to know Una as our lovely neighbour, then as the adoring grandmother to my daughter’s lovely friend Shauna, then as the Mother to my friend Siobhan, and last but not least, as my friend who supported and gave me wonderful advice when my own Mum passed.
Una may have been small in stature but she had a giant heart. She was full of kindness, integrity, wisdom and humanity. I am full of admiration of the family she created. The family she loved and cared for all her life and who in turn looked after her with such love and dedication in recent years.
Rest in peace Una. We will miss you greatly and feel grateful to have known you.
