I was so sad to hear that Una had passed away. I worked with Una for many happy years at Sacred Heart School and enjoyed countless fun moments with her. Her beautiful laugh - when her whole body would laugh with her! Such a kind and genuine lady. May her soul rest in peace.

We are deelpy saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs Parkes. We first met Una when our first child started Sacred Heart School. Our son,as well as all the other children, absolutely adored her and I believe the medical room/ happy room, was the busiest room in the school because of her caring and lovely manner. We used to love meeting Una after her Sacred Heart days and so enjoyed the chats. She will always be remembered as a beautiful person inside and out.

I and my whole family were so very sorry to hear of Una's death. Una worked in the Medical Room at our children's primary school and, as my daughter said when we heard that she was terminally ill, 'ah, everybody loved Mrs Parkes'. And that was true of parents and children alike. She was a lovely, gentle lady. Our thoughts and prayers are with all her family.

Sheelagh i was so sad to hear of Una's passing. As you know our sister Anne passed late November and we are heartbroken so we know how you, Pearse, Donal and Ann are feeling now. I send my deepest sympathy to her husband and daughters and also her adored grandchildren. I bumped into Una on Pappins Road when she was here getting some paperwork for one of her daughter's wedding and she was worn out but still smiling. We both recognised each other despite not seeing for some time. We also congratulated each other on ageing well!! Una you will be sadly missed. May her gentle soul 🙏 rest now.
