Please accept our sincere condolences on the very sad passing of dear Valerie. We have so many fond memories of our time together in St. Mary’s Choral Society in the many shows we were in together. Valerie was a force of nature and everything had to be done to perfection. She was also very kind, hospitable and wonderful company. We have enjoyed our many chats with her down through the years and we always left her company with a laugh, smile or tear. She kept us up to date on how Conor, Hugh and grandchildren were doing in life.

I have so many great and fond memories of Valerie in St. Mary's Choral Society over the years. We spent a lot of time together during rehearsals, and our friendship grew. She was so lovely, extremely witty, and kind. She made me laugh a lot, and when she sang "Lili Marlene" at our after party get togethers, well, you could hear a pin drop in the room, truly magical. Valerie was one of a kind, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Sympathy to Valerie’s family on her loss. My dear Mum Mary (nee Martin) and Valerie were great friends.. Mum spoke so highly of Valerie, they knew each other in school and when Mum worked in Burke’s, often meeting for a chat through latter years.

We are very saddened to hear of the sad passing of Valerie. We have such fond memories of Valerie, both on stage with St Marys Choral Society and also off stage, during our time in Clonmel. Possesing natural style, grace and poise, attributes which Valerie brought to every role she also loved the camaraderie of the "after show" party and "Lily Marlene" will never sound the same to us again.
