Vera was a wonderful person, engaging, curious, interested, full of stories and memories. I remember when herself and Jim used to visit Deerpark Road in the 60's, we thought of them as an adventurous and romantic couple, flying aeroplanes and living in Africa!
In later years we enjoyed her company at reunions and card games, at which she was a whiz! She will be very sadly missed.

My sincere condolences to Marion , Deirdre, John and your extended families on the death of your Mam Vera . My own late Mam = Kathleen O Brien - Corbett was Vera’s childhood friend and next door neighbour in Bridge St . Cappamore . Mam always spoke in glowing terms of Vera O Reilly both of them attending Cappamore Convent in the 1930s and cycling together to Doon Convent during the war years of 1940s . Mam passed on in August 2023 in her 94th year .They lost contact over the years but I will never forget the many times she mentioned Vera O Reilly . My Mam lived next door to the O Reillys in her Grandfathers Corner House now Maddens Bridge Inn Public House .
