I always loved bumping into her at my Granny Claire’s house and am grateful for the beautiful friendship they shared for so many years. Words cannot describe the shock and sadness I feel at the passing of Veronica. A true and sympathic friend from our early days at school in Banagher, college in Southampton, our flat in Grays Essex and our time together in Madrid after leaving school to our recent trip to the Titanic exhibition in Belfast. Veronica was such a caring person and spiritual who could do the praying for us all when we couldn’t do it ourselves!
To Marie Terese, Ann Marie, Rosie and Paddy I send my deepest sympathy on a wonderful mam and grandmama. She has gone straight to the Lord. I will miss her so much.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Veronica. She was such an important person in our lives for many years. We had many an interesting conversation in Galway road over a few glasses of wine late at night where her warmth and wisdom touched our lives.
