Dear Gerarda, Oliver, the Byrne family and extended family. I was so saddened this morning, to hear the heartbreaking news that you have lost your dear Mum, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Mrs. Byrne was just the epitome of a lady, gentle, kind, elegant, but always humble. She was a joy to meet, and a fascinating conversationalist. Her quiet, dignified manner as she carried her own burden of heartbreak, losing her husband, your lovely Dad Frank, and her beautiful daughter, your beloved sister Margaret, never ceased to amaze me. May Mrs Byrne's gentle soul rest in eternal peace, with her loved ones.

I have very fond memories of Vera playing the piano at Christmas time when we were kids. She had everyone singing and dancing.
