My sincere sympathies on the death of Vincent. He was in school with my uncles in Clonmel and quickly made that connection seeking my help with Bernard’s release. I admired his strength , persistence and optimism.

Vincent was one of life’s gentlemen and was great at keeping up with his extended County Waterford Ballybrusa Walsh connections (he enjoyed the Walsh long lived gene).

I am deeply saddened to learn of Vincent’s passing.

He was a man of great strength and determination, who tirelessly advocated for his son Bernard during his imprisonment in Iran.

It was a great pleasure to welcome Vincent to Iveagh House last year, along with Bernard, Roland and Caroline.

My sympathies to all the Phelan family at this time.

Our deepest sympathy to Bernard and Caroline . Saddened to hear of Vincent’s passing, we have great memories of Vincent staying at Ballyowen back in the days when he travelled down the country on company business. He was always very engaging and interested in every aspect of life, had that twinkle in his eye and a touch of the mischievous when occasion brought the opportunity to see the lighter side.
So sorry to hear of Vincent's death. Knew Vincent many years ago when he lived down the Road from me in Kilganey, then through work in PF Quirkes. Vincent was a lovely gentleman always kind and loved to chat. Deepest sympathy to his son, daughter and extended family. May Vincent's gentle soul rest in peace.
