Violet Gavin

Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Roisin and all the Gavin family on the passing on of Dearest Violet.
Violet was a true treasure and full of nature, kindness and goodness. I have so many fond memories of my time assisting and organising charity fundraising events for Positive Mental Health.
Violet gave 100% to all her endeavours. Her toil on this earth is now over. May she enjoy her eternal reward with the good Lord and her Dear Daughter Anne- Marie.

It is with great sadness that I learned today of Violet's death. My sincere condolences to all of Violet's family whom she always spoke about with love and pride when I knew her and volunteered in her PMH School Project. Violet's kindness, energy, enthusiasm and positivity was felt by us all. Always fond memories of the time spent in her presence. May Violet Rest in Peace.

Bridget, I just wanted to offer my condolences to you,your siblings and extended family on the loss of Violet. She was a lovely lady with masses of energy which she poured into whatever project she was involved in at any one time. The last time I met her she tried to persuade me to join a group of fundraisers! I was sorry I couldn’t get to the funeral but I was thinking of you all on the day.

To be curious is to be alive! Auntie Violet had it in spades; intellectual, social, and best of all on how to help others less fortunate. Positive Mental Health was such a great life lesson in giving meaningful legacy. But along with that she left us a million fun anecdotes - one (at least) for everyone that knew her. Today I'll just remember that afternoon us having ice cream together on the cafe terrace in Milan. Arrivederci xxx

My deepest condolences to Violet's family on her recent passing. When I saw that she was 91 I couldn't believe it because it was around 10 years ago I volunteered with Positive Mental Health for a few years. She was full of energy and passionate about the charity she had set up. She often complemented me about letters I had in the papers especially if they were in the area of mental health.

I am so sorry to hear about Violet's passing. I worked voluntarily with Violet when she first set up Positive Mental Health. Violet was amazing. She was hardworking and had so much energy. She was an inspiration. She always talked about her daughter and I could feel the love she had for her family emanating from her. She taught me alot about human kindness and about compassion for others. She was a kind individual who embraced everyone she met.
