Mary I’m so sorry to hear of Billy’s death. He was a lovely man. Thinking of you all at this very difficult time. Take care.

Today i tied a slip knot and tidied away my sheets. I thought long on Billy and the many times we tidied away after racing. Billy was the oldest and best foredeck. We had the best of craic on WyleE with no small number of close calls including capsizes. We had great times in the bar after racing and that continued after Billy took a stroke a top the mast and could no longer sail. However,sailing is but a (passionate) pastime. Billy was most proud of his wonderful wife Mary and children Suzanne and Lorcan.. He never stopped saying how great they were each doing in their jobs and life. He was just so so proud of them. Billy was a great sailor and friend and we will really miss him. Deepest sympathy and love to Mary Suzanne and Lorcan during this time.

Very sorry to hear the sad news of Billy's death. He always showed a genuine interest in how the sailing was going and took particular interest when watching videos of Ryan and I sailing the RS200! Very sad at the death of my Uncle Billy, my Dads youngest brother. Deepest condolences to Mary, Suzanne, Lorcan and all the family in Ireland. I have happy memories of him from my childhood, Sailing as a teenager with him at Clontarf and as a young apprentice at Chubb Alarms when he was the Service Manager. A lovely man gone too soon. Rest in Peace Uncle Bill.
