I was saddened to learn of the death of Willie,a man of innate courtesy and gentleness. I see him on his bike behind the cows as they made their way home for milking,Willie completely in tune with the pace of the cows. It was a metaphor for how he lived his life....My deepest condolences to Mairead,Siobhan and Celest on the loss of a beloved brother and a lovely human being.Condolences also to the Lane family. May Willie rest in peace.

I remember the days i was sent up by my mum to get eggs and rubharb when i was a kid, and he was also very kind in loaning dad his equipment when we needed it. Billy was the best neighbor a person could have. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.

I have memories of taking a sow to the boar with my father many years ago and Willie and his father Michael would be there and the place would be kept so neat.
