Gabriel (Gay) Charles
On Sunday, 30 June, Gabriel (Gay) passed away peacefully at the Galway Hospice.
Predeceased by his parents Michael James and Margaret (Babe), his sister Rita Whelan, brother Cyril, brother-in-law Kevin, nephew Paul and niece Cora.
Deeply mourned and fondly remembered by his wife Anne (née Joyce), sons Mark and Glen, daughters Tara Fay and Amy Wilson, brother Ray, niece Valerie, nephews David and Terry, brother-in-law Tom Joyce, daughters-in-law Claire and Maureen, sons-in-law Steve and Joe and by his adored grandchildren Ella, Daniel and Lainey, Evan and Nathan, Phoebe and Mia and Baby Áine.

Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91V1K8) on Monday, 01 July, 2023 from 5.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. Arriving at St. Patrick’s Church, Forster Street, on Tuesday morning, 02 July, in advance of Requiem Mass therein at 12 noon. Private cremation to follow.
No flowers please, donations in memory of Gay to the Galway Hospice and/or Cancer Care West.
