John passed away peacefully at home, on the 7th July 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was predeceased by his father and mother Patrick and Margaret Geoghegan (née Lyons), his brothers Pat, Matt, Tony, Ollie, Thomas and Cyril, and his sisters Monica (Shanahan), Biddy (Sr. Ambrose) and Anne (Coughlan).
He is survived by his dear wife Deirdre (née Curran) and his family; Seamus and his partner Bridget, Eoin, Aoife and her husband Will, Cian and his wife Flor, Helen and her husband Trefor, his grandchildren Ciarán, William, Abigail, Claire and Oisín, sisters Kathleen, Phil, Clair, Ita, and Martina, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces, extended family, close friends, neighbours and acquaintances.
Reposing at St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Clarecastle, on Thursday (10th July) from 4 pm concluding with prayers at 7 pm. Funeral Mass on Friday (11th July) at 12.30 pm, followed by cremation service in Shannon Crematorium at 3 pm.
No flowers please, donations, if desired, to Milford Care Centre, Limerick.
