It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our very much loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Mary Guthrie (nee McCarthy), Carikmoy Cottage, Ballyvaughan, Co Clare, formally Clohanmore, Cree, Co. Clare on Wednesday 28th January, 2026 at home, following a short illness, borne with great dignity, and surrounded by her loving and heartbroken family.

Predeceased by her Husband: Micko Guthrie (17.10.1990)
Sons: Paddy,

Joe (1.5.1959 - 28.5.2020)
Parents: Patrick (1967) & Margaret (1966)
Brothers: Angel Patrick (1929) Thomas (1997) Joseph (2010) John (2015)

She will be deeply missed by her sons and daughters: Michael, Sean, Vincent, Gerry, Marie, Paul, Catherine and Margaret

Sister: Margaret Flannery (Kildare)
Daughter in laws & Sons in law
Grandchildren: Danielle, Michelle, Karen, Eimear, Diarmaid, Cormac, Brian, Megan, Keith, Jack, Harry, Lindsey, Gavin, Ava, Jessica & Avril.
Great grandchildren: Donnacha, Éanna & Róise.

Mary will repose at her home - Carikmoy Cottage, Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare, H91 Y9KV on Friday January 30th January 2026 from 5 pm with prayers and removal to St. John the Baptist Church, Ballyvaughan @ 7.30 pm

Mass celebrating Mary’s life, times & legacy on Saturday January 31st 2026 @ 12 midday in St. John the Baptist Church, Ballyvaughan.Burial in Bishops Quarters Cemetery, Ballyvaughan.
