P.J. OWENS Lisnamult, Roscommon Town and formerly of Ogulla, Tulsk, Co Roscommon, passed away peacefully on April 17th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe.

Predeceased by his beloved daughter Sharon Scanlon and her mother Winnie (née Cooke), his brother Gerry, and by his parents Patrick and Elizabeth. He will be very sadly missed by his son Gavin, daughters Gillian, Ashling Carr and Gemma McHugh, his sons-in-law Anthony, David and William, grandchildren Dean, Shannon. Megan, Alanna, Thomas, Jamie, Leah and Jake, great-grandson Michael, brother Frank, sisters Trudy, Kay, Jacinta and Pauline, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Sunday evening from 6 o’c until 7.30 o’c. Mass of the Resurrection in the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon on Monday afternoon 1 o’c. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery.
